Disclosure fails in a way that looks like compliance. The notice is present, it is accurate, and nobody reads it, because it appears once at the start of a session and the confusion happens forty minutes later. That is why this page produces three lengths rather than one: the inline label is the one that does the work, because it is beside the thing it describes at the moment somebody wonders.
Say what is true of your system
“This uses AI” has stopped meaning anything. The sentences that change a user's behaviour are specific: that the answer can be confidently wrong, that a person is reachable and how, that what they type leaves your servers. Each of those is a fact about your system that only you can supply, which is why the boxes above produce nothing when the matching field is empty.
The one to get right
Where a decision about a person is involved, the sentence people actually need is not that AI was used — it is what they can do about it. A route to a human review, stated in the same breath as the disclosure, is the difference between telling someone how the sausage was made and giving them something to act on. If that route does not exist yet, the honest move is to build it rather than to word around it, and this page will not word around it for you.
